Serving as your Clayton County Tax Commissioner is more than a title to me—it is a calling rooted in service, responsibility, and community empowerment. I am proud to serve the citizens of Clayton County, and I take seriously the trust you have placed in me to lead with integrity, transparency, and purpose.

Service With the People at the Center
My pride in this role comes from the people we serve every day. Clayton County is a vibrant, diverse, and resilient community, and our residents deserve leadership that is accessible, informed, and responsive. As Tax Commissioner, my commitment is not only to collect revenue efficiently and accurately, but to ensure our citizens understand the process and feel supported—not intimidated—when interacting with our office.

Education Is Empowerment
One of my core missions is education. Property taxes, vehicle registrations, homestead exemptions, and legislative changes can feel complex and overwhelming. I believe knowledge removes fear and builds confidence.

That is why we prioritize:

• Monthly webinar: Your Time with the Tax Commissioner

• Clear, plain-language communication

• Outreach events that meet residents where they are

• One-on-one guidance to help citizens make informed decisions

When citizens understand how systems work, they are empowered to advocate for themselves and their families.
 

Empowering Citizens Through Access and Transparency
Empowerment also means access—access to information, resources, and leadership. My office is committed to transparency in our operations and openness in our communication. Whether through community events, youth initiatives, senior outreach, or legislative education, our goal is to ensure no one feels left out of the conversation.
We believe government should work with the people, not above them.

Investing in Community and Future Generations
I am especially proud of the way our office extends beyond traditional government functions to invest directly in our community—supporting youth development, education, family stability, and civic engagement. These efforts reflect a broader vision of public service: one that understands strong communities are built through trust, opportunity, and intentional care.
